Why Carbon Positive Australia is planting trees
It’s hard to believe that Australia is ranked 9th on the list of the World’s worst land clearers, an unenviable list which includes countries such as Indonesia, Russia, Brazil, China and Malaysia. Between 2001 – 2022, 9 million hectares of tree cover was lost in Australia largely driven by graziers to feed their cattle. The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) has also identified Australia as the only developed nation on world list of deforestation hotspots.
It’s a scary fact but Carbon Positive Australia is taking action by planting trees and when you donate trees you help fund our planting projects across Australia.
Who are we?
Carbon Positive Australia helps organisations, communities, and individuals take climate action by supporting tree planting and ecosystem restoration. Our projects are about more than just carbon offsets—they’re about meaningful restoration, supporting community tree planting and providing education tools to help everyone understand their climate impact.
With over 20 years of experience, we’re experts in revegetation, reforestation, carbon offsets, and environmental plantings.
