The challenge
SafeStyle has long been a leader in providing top-quality protective eyewear for workers, prioritising safety above all else. However, the industry it operates in is not traditionally known for its environmental consciousness. Large corporations and multinationals dominate the space, often focusing more on profits than on sustainability, with many relying on “greenwashing” rather than delivering real environmental impact.
In this context, SafeStyle faced the challenge of remaining at the forefront of eyewear innovation while also addressing the environmental responsibility of the industry.
The goal was clear: continue delivering best-in-class safety products, while also making a meaningful contribution to the planet.

The solution
SafeStyle sought a partnership with an organisation that shared its commitment to making a tangible environmental difference, beyond just carbon offsets. After careful consideration, SafeStyle chose to work with Carbon Positive Australia, ensuring that their sustainability efforts were rooted in real impact.
The company committed to offsetting the entirety of its freight emissions for the year 2024 and also went a step further by partnering with us on our Plant the Seed and Carbon Positive Solutions initiatives, directly contributing to native tree planting projects.
To engage their customers in this mission, SafeStyle introduced an option to plant a tree at checkout, empowering their customers to join in on the environmental journey.
This collaboration has marked the beginning of SafeStyle’s deeper commitment to sustainability, aiming to make a positive impact on both the industry and the planet.
The impact
SafeStyle’s partnership with Carbon Positive Australia has led to the offsetting of 80 tonnes for their freight emissions for the year 2024.
Additional contributions through the Plant the Seed and Carbon Positive Solutions initiatives are actively supporting the planting of native trees across the country.
Together with Carbon Positive Australia, SafeStyle is setting a new standard for sustainability in the protective eyewear industry and truly embodying what it means to be carbon positive.
