Energy use, travel, lighting, and product transport spike at year-end, increasing Australia’s fossil fuel consumption.
Deforestation:
100 million paper Christmas cards are sent annually in Australia. Offsetting their carbon footprint would require planting 230,000 trees and letting them grow for 10 years.
