From spiders to a ‘special ant’: Australia has more than 100 new species

With National Biodiversity Month coming up in September, we thought we would share this article to inspire your day. More than 100 new species have been discovered and named in Australia within the past year, these discoveries have been labelled a massive “win for biodiversity”. Some of these discoveries include; 

– 4 marine fishes
– 3 plants
– 1 frog
– 117 insects  
– 14 other invertebrates including 11 jumping spiders!
