More than 100 new species have been discovered and named in Australia within the past year, these discoveries have been labelled a massive “win for biodiversity”. Some of these discoveries include; 

– 4 marine fishes
– 3 plants
– 1 frog
– 117 insects  
– 14 other invertebrates including 11 jumping spiders!
